Why can we not use sea water for domestic purpose?
Seawater is toxic to humans because your body is unable to get rid of the salt that comes from seawater. Your body’s kidneys normally remove excess salt by producing urine, but the body needs freshwater to dilute the salt in your body for the kidneys to work properly.

Why do we use sea water in daily life?
Except for drinking why do we need fresh water, cannot saline water serve the same purpose. If there is a proper filtering set up ( just the same that we use for our city water supply ) then we can use sea water ( filtered ) for almost most of our daily use.
