Why do artists follow or break from established rules in creating artworks?
In the history of Art, many Artists did choose at one point to deliberately break the rules of their time, rules about composition, perspective, narration, etc… While breaking those rules they did create some breakthrough works of Art and opened new possibilities for the Artists that followed.
How does art affect tradition?
Art influences society by changing opinions, instilling values and translating experiences across space and time. Art in this sense is communication; it allows people from different cultures and different times to communicate with each other via images, sounds and stories.

Culture affects an artist’s work by shaping the worldview of the artist and associations they may have with color, shapes, patterns, symbols, people, places, and things. Each culture has its own unique history and way of understanding the world.
Why art is important in our tradition?
Traditional Arts (TA) provides a shared experience for the community. Values and belief systems are often embedded in these art forms and passed down through generations; as such, they form a common language through which we can engage the various communities that make up our society.
